WADA CHART RATING SYSTEM
The chart system will use a points system related to the final positions achieved by competitors in the following competitions.
The UK Closed
The Welsh Border Counties
The Welsh Championships
The Closed British
Plus, two competitions at Lydney on (Bank Holiday Monday) 4th May 2009, and Sunday 29th November 2009.
The committee may amend the competitions used with one months notice.
The age groups covered are as follows
Junior
Juvenile
Youth
Under 21Yrs
Amateur
Under 35yrs
Senior
The above age groups are for both Ballroom and Latin
The chart uses a rolling year with this years results replacing the previous years results as the competitions take place.
The point system is as follows:
Chart Points
Position in Final:- 1(12), 2nd(11), 3rd(10), 4th(9), 5th(8), 6th(7), 7th(6).
Semi-final 5 Points
Quarter Final 4 Points
Previous Round 3 Points
Previous Round 2 Points
Previous Round 1 Point
The charts will be used to select members by using their accumulated points over 1 year.
If the results of a complete year are not available then the selection will be based on the available points.
Rules for competitors taking part in the selection Charts
It is the competitors responsibility to ensure that their results are passed on to the chart secretary.
Members must have a current WADA membership. If membership is allowed to lapse the member will be deleted from the charts and the accrued points will be deleted.
Members taking part in the selection charts agree to take part in events when requested( e.g team matches squad training,)
Where a member is selected for an event and is unable to attend their place may be offered to the member with the next highest number of points in the charts.
Any member found supplying false information regarding their chart results will be subject to discipliniary procedures and may be banned from taking part in the charts for a period of time.
In the event of a couple splitting the points awarded to the couple in the charts will be deleted.
